The London Festival Organisers Open Opportunity for Local Artists to Perform at Major London Festival

The London Festival® is accepting applications from local artists to perform at the much-anticipated The London Festival, a two-week festival of arts, music, and culture which is expected to take place in 2023.

Created and produced by Nascent Vek Productions, The London Festival is a one-of-a-kind event that will be celebrating the very best that the Capital has to offer. Alongside cultural events, feel-good entertainment and engaging new technology, the festival will also host the London Stage, a place that will hold live performances for the duration of the festival.

With only 20% of the line-up for the London Stage reserved for major headliners, the rest will be allocated to local singers, musicians, dance groups, comedy acts, and other live stage performers. To secure a place on the stage, acts just need to register through the festival website and enter into the public vote, a 100% free process

After the deadline for applications, the public will get to vote for their favourite acts. The performers that receive the most public votes will get to perform on the stage during the festival.

This unique opportunity gives up-and-coming artists a chance to perform in one of 2023’s biggest festivals. Alongside getting the chance to perform, all the acts will receive a grant from Empower London Foundation to further boost their career.

The unique event will be honouring diversity without cliché or stereotype and will be representative of all people, all ages, and all culture. This makes it the perfect opportunity for artists from all walks of life to get involved and share their passion on stage in front of thousands of festival attendees.

Michael S. Darcy, managing director of Nascent Vek Productions said, “We want the festival to be as representative of London as it can be, and to do that we knew we had to put the choice of performers in the hands of the public. Letting anyone enter the ballot and allowing the public to vote creates a truly interactive experience – after all, the public knows better than we do about what they want to see on stage. This opportunity could also be a once in a lifetime gig for local artists who are waiting to be discovered.”

To apply for their space, performers must be 16 or over and live in one of London’s 32 boroughs. Applications are made online, with winners being selected on March 31st, 2023. It’s free to enter and anyone who’s a live performer can enter: https://thelondonfestival.com/takepartstage/
